Where Alf Layla is different

Arabic and English on the same page, in the dialect your family speaks. None of the services above lists a choice of dialect.
A new story every time, about what you describe, rather than your child’s name placed in a story written in advance.
Your child described once (skin tone, hair, glasses or hijab) and drawn the same way on every page and in every book, without uploading a photo.
$2.50 a book, ready the same evening, with any line or picture changeable afterwards.

When another choice is better

You want a printed hardcover keepsake delivered to the door: Alf Layla gives you a PDF you would print yourself. Wonderbly, Hooray Heroes and Librio are printed books; Kitabyana prints in Arabic or Arabic and English.
You want a story written and edited in advance by a human author: the printed services above use existing stories.
You want an English-only book: any of the printed services will do.

What about Gemini Storybook?

Google’s Gemini can write a new illustrated 10-page story in many languages, Arabic among them, from a description or a photo. It is a general tool: Google’s announcement does not mention a choice of Arabic dialect, Arabic and English on the same page, or vowel marks for young readers. Alf Layla is made only for Arabic and English family bedtime books.
